S2355, N1814. Henry VIII second coinage 'Sovereign' penny with im. Key (obv. only), struck at the York ecclesiastical mint under Abp. Edward Lee. Weight 0.53g. Excessively rare, the only other example I am aware of is the ex Lockett, Carlyon-Britton, Dupree, Shuttlewood and Stewartby coin (VF), which sold in 2017 for £1860 incl. premium.
Creased with cracks, but o/w intact with decent detail.
